Roger Federer didn’t have the run he was hoping for in Doha after he lost to Nikoloz Basilashvili 3-6 6-1 7-5 to withdraw from the main draw in Dubai. The ATP500 will be staged from the 15th of March and Roger won it on 8 occasions. However, the world no.6 didn’t feel ready for it. The good news is that the organization will have the opportunity to feature top players such as Dominic Thiem, Andrey Rublev and Jannik Sinner.

It’s been great to be back on the @atptour , loved every minute playing in Doha once again. 🙌🏼 A big thank you to the best and loyal team that helped me get here. 🙏🏼
