Novak Djokovic has officially beaten Roger Federer’s record to be the man that stayed the most on top of the rankings. The world no.1 dominated the ATP rankings for 311 weeks to set a new and amazing record.

The 18-time slam champion is currently in Belgrade, where the local people celebrated him for his amazing achievement. Novak commented:

“This is the success of the whole nation. I started this morning with my daily routines. I knew it was a special day, but I didn’t have a sense of how important everything was until I started receiving calls and messages. I still have great motivation to keep recording top results. “It will only be a few years before I realize how successful this is.”

 

Djokovic’s schedules

The Serbian legend has been recovering from the nasty abdominal injury suffered during the Australian Open. He is getting ready to play in Miami (22nd of March) before commencing the clay season in Monte-Carlo. After playing in the Principality, Novak will compete in the home tournament in Belgrade.
