Roger Federer and Daniel Evans will face off on Wednesday at 6 pm in the 2nd round in Doha in what will be the comeback match for the Swiss legend. This will be a rather interesting return to the competitions for the 20-time slam champion also because he is quite used to train with Evans. Actually, Roger and the Brit shared the practice court recently.

During a recent interview with the Telegraph, the world no.28 explained why he was amazed by Roger Federer when they trained together 2 years ago.

He was so down to earth. It was surreal how we ate lunch and stuff – he didn’t hide away or anything. We went to a golf club for lunch, we went to a pretty average tennis club for lunch as well. It was just normal,

” said Evans.

Roger Federer and Daniel Evans faced off 3 times. Their actual head to head record is 3-0 for Federer. Previously, the last time when they fought against each other, Roger Federer won 6-2 6-2 6-1 in the 3rd round in New York (U.S. Open) in August 2019.
