Eugenie Bouchard is more and more active in promoting her new clothing line. Bouchard changed her sportswear sponsor in 2021 from Nike to New Balance. The Canadian beauty explained why she decided to go for the new brand.
Why New Balance
According to Genie, it was time to make a move. Of course, given Bouchard’s popularity, there were some options but she believed that new Balance was the way to go.
“I feel like it was a good time for a change,” said Genie as reported by Forbes. “At the end of the year my agent started talking to different brands and had a couple of options in the mix. New Balance was a front runner on what they could do for me and how they would use me in their brand.”
Genie Bouchard added that she was impressed by some other colleagues wearing New Balance outfits. Also, Bouchard added that she likes the fact that not many other players are carrying the brand.
“They are cute outfits and there weren’t too many of them. I like that they are not trying to sign everyone under the sun. I hate wearing what my opponent is wearing. It is so weird when two girls are wearing the exact same thing,” added the Canadian.

Genie Bouchard is currently in Lyon where she was awarded a wildcard for the main draw, She will face Aliaksandra Sasnovich for the first time in her career.
