Stefanos Tsitsipas and Serena Williams are among the most popular players on the tours and they also have the luxury of getting the expertise of one of the biggest gurus in tennis: Patrick Mouratoglou.
Mouratoglou is the head coach of Serena Williams, but he is also the owner of a very popular tennis academy in the south of France. Many top players are using the services of Mouratoglou’s academy and Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of them.
Tsitsipas return on serve
Sometimes, Mouratoglou loves coaching Stefanos and he posted a very interesting video about a training aimed at improving Tsitsipas’ backhand return. That is often a weak area for players having a one-handed backhand.
Patrick also gave the following tips:
- No backswing, just turn your shoulders
- Drive the ball, don’t hit it
- Move your body weight in the direction where you want to hit
