The final did not start really well for Djokovic that was broken by Nadal in the crucial 7th game of the first set. The Spaniard won the opener 6-4.At that point many had the impression that Nadal was about to win his 46th ATP carrier title, but Nole disagreed.
The Serb fighted back to win the second set (6-3) and open a significant lead in the decider (4-0). Eventually Djokovic was the Indian Wells champion with a fantastic victory 4-6 6-3 6-2.
Djokovic got back his place as world Nr.2 and he is a serious bidder for the top ranking.
