Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev are going among the most followed tennis players in the draw of the upcoming ATP500 in Rotterdam. Unfortunately, many players had to withdraw from the competitions for various reasons.

The main draw is now orphan of the likes of Rafael Nadal, Denis Shapovalov, Jannik Sinner, Milos Raonic, Matteo Berrettini, Pablo Carreno Busta, and Nick Kyrgios just to name some players that were part of the original entry list.

Ranked world no.6, Stefanos Tsitsipas played his last match on the 19th of February when he lost to Daniil Medvedev 6-4 6-2 7-5 in the semifinal of the Australian Open (draw).

At present, during this year the Greek owns a 6-1 match record. Stefanos Tsitsipas’s latest run at the Australian Open was the best achievement of his season.

Stefanos Tsitsipas had a sensational win over Rafael Nadal in the Australian Open quarters when he was 2 sets down. Later, Tsitsipas got flat when facing Daniil Medvedev in the semifinal to lose in straight sets.

Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Egor Gerasimov in the 1st round in Rotterdam. The H2H is 1-1.

 

Daniil Medvedev in 2021

Ranked world no.3 (career-high), Daniil played his last encounter on the 21st of February when he surrendered to Novak Djokovic 7-5 6-2 6-2 in the final of the Australian Open (draw).

Presently, during this year Medvedev owns a compiled 10-1 win-loss record. Daniil Medvedev’s latest run at the Australian Open was the best achievement of his season.

In the final, Daniil Medvedev played a rather lousy tennis for his standards also and especially because Novak Djokovic played at his very best.

Alexander Zverev in 2021

Ranked world no.7, Sascha Zverev played his last match on the 16th of February when he lost to Novak Djokovic 6-7(6) 6-2 6-4 7-6(6) in the quarter of the Australian Open (draw).

Sascha Zverev had his chances against Novak Djokovic, but the Serbian champion was spot on during the important moments.

This season Zverev has a 5-3 record.

Sascha Zverev is expected to face Alexander Bublik in the first round of the draw in Rotterdam. However, Alexander is currently playing in Singapore where he reached the semifinal and there will be doubts about his participation in the Netherland. They have never played against each other so far.
