A devastating Bartoli demolishes Flipkens to reach the Wimbledon final

What a great tennis from Bartoli.,

Marion displayed an unbelievable tennis to wrap up this semifinal in just 62 minutes. The match was never a match as the Frenchwoman just overpowered Kirtsen Flipkens in 2 quick, but painful, sets.

At the end of the match Marion won 53 points vs. Flipkens’ 28 and she blasted 23 winners (10 unforced errors) vs. Flipkens’ 10 winners (6 unforced errors)

From Marion

Bartoli is back to the Wimbledon final after 6 years. In 2007 she lost 6-4 6-1 against Venus Williams, but this can be the time to grab her first slam. “I’m able to hit the ball harder, I’m moving faster, I do just everything a bit better than what I was doing six years ago,” Marion said.

The Final vs. Lisicki

Bartoli will face an astonishing Lisicki that has beated a score of very strong players on her path (Schiavone, Stosur, Serena and now Radwanska). Head to head is 3-1 for Lisicki, 1-1 on grass. Lisicki won the last match on grass 6-4 6-7(4) 6-1 in the quarter finals of Wimbledon 2011.

Impossible to pick a favorite, maybe Lisicki has an edge from a mental point of vie, but Bartoli is playing the best tennis of her career.
