Iga received a free ticket to the semifinal after Danielle Collins had to withdraw for a problem with her back after the American was 2-6 0-3 down. Belinda had no problems in dismissing a surprising Storm Sanders with a 6-2 6-4 scoreline. Ranked no.292, Storm had a great run in Adelaide, but the Swiss was just too much.
Coco Gauff had her 4th consecutive 3-sets wins after beating Shelby Rogers 2-6 6-4 6-4. The young American was 2-4 down in both the second and the third set. Teichmann came out a 2 hours and 57 minutes battle against Anastasija Sevastova before winning 6-4 6-78 7-5.
