RANKINGS. Berrettini, Fognini, Sinner the top Italians. Musetti at career high

There are as many as 8 Italian players in the top100. Musetti is at a career high and ready for more.

The Australian Open has just ended and the new rankings are out. There are no huge changes in the rankings despite the fact that a major has just ended. On the Italian side, the top 3 Italians are still Matteo Berrettini, Fabio Fognini, and Jannik Sinner.

It is still interesting to notice that after reaching the final in Biella, Lorenzo Musetti gained 7 places in the rankings to be the new world no.117 that represents his career-high.

Matteo Berrettini in 2021

Currently the world no.10, Matteo played his last match on the 13^th of February when he beat Karen Khachanov 7-6(1) 7-6(5) 7-6(5) in the 3^rd round of the Australian Open (draw).

At present, during this year the Italian has managed to achieve an overall 8-2 record.

Fabio Fognini in 2021

Now ranked no.18, Fognini played his last match on the 15^th of February when he was defeated by Rafael Nadal 6-3 6-4 6-2 in the 4^th round of the Australian Open (draw).
