Naomi Osaka has just won her 4th slam in Melbourne after conquering her 2nd Australian Open. The Japanese sensation impressed for the entire tournament with her aggressive tennis. That is the philosophy of her coach Wim Fissette that has always stated that Naomi needs to use a bit more her incredible power. However, this way to interpret tennis is a little bit in contrast with Naomi Osaka’s father that has always stressed the importance of consistency.

Wim talked about this many times with Naomi and her father and eventually, they agreed to explore a way to be more aggressive and that has been paying off handsomely. However, recently, Naomi stressed the fact that her mom seems to agree a bit more with her father as she keeps on asking for more consistency.
“My mom is funny. Every time I play a match she says, like, I wish you could just put more balls in the court. For her, the solution to winning a match is to put balls in the court. She does not care about the pace or nothing,” revealed Naomi.

Now ranked no.3, the Japanese played her last match on the 20th of February when she beat Jennifer Brady 6-4 6-3 in the final of the Australian Open to win her 6th career title.
Currently, during this year Naomi achieved an overall 10-0 record. Naomi clinched 1 title at the Australian Open.
