Rafael Nadal seems to be perfect on court after he reached the quarters, winning all his matches in straight sets. However, the Spanish legend was not so perfect during the press conference that followed his match against Fognini.
When asked about his chances on Wednesday, Nadal started to talk about his upcoming match against Stefanos Tsitsipas. However, that wasn’t correct as it wasn’t yet announced officially that Matteo Berrettini conceded the walkover to the Greek ace.
“I need to make another step forward against Tsitsipas. Is it official? He’ll play tonight?” Nadal asked. Well, I don’t know, maybe. I think I heard that Berrettini was a little bit injured but not official at all. Sorry for that. But yeah, something...well, I messed it up,” he said when everyone was laughing
