Rafael Nadal Injury

Rafael Nadal managed to win his 2nd round in straight sets against Michael Mmoh. That was great news for Rafa that has been struggling with his back for slightly more than 2 weeks. The Spanish legend is still fighting, but he has also revealed that he is not happy with the evolution of his injury.

When asked if his injury is under control, he replied:

“No, not under control, honestly. I keep doing things that I can. If you see my motion on the serve is different than want I would like. But I am trying to find solutions every day. I just keep finding for solutions.”

A new treatment

Rafa disclosed that he will try a new treatment hoping it will work, otherwise he will be in trouble.

“The evolution of the problem in the back is not being satisfactory. We have tried several treatments and tomorrow is going to be an important day because we are going to try to find the solution with some new things.

If they do not work, I will be a problem because I am already in the third round and there is going to be more effort. With all the respect in the world for Mmoh, today I was not very challenged so I was able to carry out the match without excessive discomfort.”

The 3rd round vs. Norrie

Rafa will face Cameron Norrie in the 3rd round. They have never clashed against each other. The world no.2 will have to be in good conditions to beat the Brit.
