There are no major points to discuss about the Ladies draw, maybe the most notable one is that Sharapova, seed no.3, fell in Azarenka’s half, so we may have another Maria vs. Serena final.
An all American clash
One of the most interesting match of the first round is going to be the all American match between Sloane Stephens and the “soon to be American no.3” Jamie Hampton that is about to play the Eastbourne final.

We must be boring, but we can’t see any other favorite than Serena. If the American gets an implausible upset, we go for Sharapova.
