Berrettini to play Machac after watching his girlfriend Tomljanovic losing a heartbreaker

Matteo Berrettini had a day off on Wednesday, but that doesn’t mean that the day was without any stress for him. The Italian champion spent the evening watching his girlfriend Ajla Tomljanovic fighting in a tough match against Simona Halep. Eventually, she lost after leading 5-2 in the decider.

Matteo will take on Tomas Machac in the 2nd round of the Australian Open after a solid straight sets win over Kevin Andreson. Berrettini and Machac have never faced each other so far.
