Wimbledon is about to start and it is always intersting to see the different picks especially from the tennis legends.
It’s now time for Goran Ivanisevic to come out with his preditions. According to the 2001 champion, this year it is going to be Nole to win the trophy.. or… maybe Andy Murray (second pick).
Nole and Andy…
In a recent interview the Croat states
“My pick for the Wimbledon title is Djokovic, and I would put Murray second. Of course, Novak is the No 1 player in the world, and I think he is very disappointed about the French Open, as he had his chances against Nadal in the fifth set of their semi-final. So I think he’s going to be more motivated at Wimbledon to win. Last year at Wimbledon he didn’t play a good match against Federer. And grass suits Djokovic, the speed and the height of the bounce suits him.
…or maybe Roger?
“Federer has to play well. He had a poor French Open. He wasn’t 100 per cent ready. But he comes to London as the defending champion and he doesn’t want to lose a stupid match to anybody. He will be tough to beat, especially in the second week. And he won Halle last week, so he’s going to be ready. So he’s not going to give his title away easily.” added Goran
