There is some more misery for Tomic’s family.
Bernard’s father was (and still is) in a middle of a big controversy after badly assaulting his son’s sparring partner in Madrid.
John Tomic’s case is still on in Madrid as the hearing has been postponed to October.
Bernand’s father so far was banned by the ATP from attending as a coach to his son’s matches. So the way round was simply to buy a ticket and get there as a normal paying spectator.
Wimbledon won’t allow that. John Tomic is forbidden even to see the match as a spectator.

Tomic obviously plays down the entire thing to comment “I’m not thinking about that. That happened that week when it happened and now the last four or five weeks, it’s fine. It’s not a big issue for me.”
Bernard is currently playing the warm up tournament in Eastbourne where he will play against Simon for a place in the semifinals.
