Roger was probably in a hurry as it took only 39 minutes to completely demolish his opponent without conceding a single game.

“It’s not something which is easy to do. You never go into a match aiming for that score. I was very surprised that it happened today, especially on grass.
“I think it is disappointing for a serve and volley player to go down like this. It shows also how easy it is to hit passing shots or returns today.”said Roger.
“I hope he doesn’t take it too badly. I just had a pretty easy time picking up his serve, and I must have made a ton of returns.”added the Maestro.

Next vs. Haas
Roger will play his dear friend Tommy Haas in the quarters as a repetition of last year’s final when Haas defeated the Maestro. Head to head is 9-4 for Roger 3-1 on grass for the Maestro, 2-1 in Halle.
