After recovering from his injury, the Monfils is fast climbing the rankings to try to get back to a better position from his 67 rank. He won the title in Nice few weeks ago, In Paris he did upset Berdych in the first round, in Halle he has already upset Raonic to then reach the quarters.

What happened is quite unclear as the organisation granted a wildcard to Gael. Yesterday after defeating Hernych 6-2 6-3, he announced that he won’t play Wimbledon for “personal reasons”… no more comments.
Next vs. Haas or Gulbis
Hoping that Gael will change his position on the Championship (did he fight with them?), we can only see him in Germany where he is going to play an interesting quarterfinal either against Tommy Haas or Ernest Gulbis.
