16-year-old Anisimova impresses for reaching the 3rd round in Cincinnati

Amanda has another great run in a top tournament after shining in Indian Wells early in the year

16-year-old Amanda Anisimova impresses again after reaching the 3rd round in Cincinnati.

The American has already shined earlier in the year in Indian Wells where she reached the 4th round after defeating Petra Kvitova in the way.

Similarly to Indian Wells, Amanda is taking full advantage of a wildcard conceded by the tournament to reach the 3rd round in Cincinnati without conceding a single set on the way.

Currently ranked no.173, Amanda has defeated 6-3 6-4 Timea Babos (world no.41) and now Petra Martic (no.51) 6-4 6-3.

She will face Elina Svitolina in the 3rd round, and another incredible upset is not ruled out.
