Fabulous Bryans win the title in Paris

Another title another record for the Bryans.

The flying brothers clinch a career (and all time record) 14th major defeating a very tough team that was playing with the full support of the home crowd.

Llodra and Mahut tried to become the first French team to win the Roland Garros after Leconte and Noah did it in 1984, but the Bryans were too good at the end.

From Mike

An elated Mike Bryan commented “It’s great winning slams with your brother. We really wanted to win another.

It’s been ten years. This is the first one we won back in the day and kind of launched our career. This is the toughest Slam to win, I think. Clay is an equaliser and makes a lot of teams better.”

From Llodra

“It’s not finished until the end and you have to fight until the last ball,” said Michael.

“Today we were close to losing the match two sets to love and we fought until the end. We got chances, but not enough to the Bryans today.”
