Rafael Nadal had a good win over the world nr.3 Novak Djokovic (7-5 6-2).
The Serb suffered an irritation to the right eye that affected his match at the end of the first set.
After Nadal held his serve to get to an even 4-4, Djokovic left the court to try to fix his eye irritation. Unfortunately he could not find a solution and it was clear to everybody his struggle.
‘I really feel sick talking about it, to be honest. It has never happened to me before. From the five-all I could not play. I could not see a ball, especially the return. It was just terrible.’
On the other side Nadal commented: ‘I’m very sorry for him but, for me, it was a very important victory. It was more distracting for him than me. I am in a good position. For me it was my best match here in London on this court.’
On the other side Tomas Berdych won 7-5 6-3 against Andy Roddick.
Giving the current results, everybody is still up to a place in the semi-finals.
