World Nr. 2 Roger Federer confirms his form in his match against Robin Soderling.
It has been since the ATP 1000 Master in Shanghai that the Swiss is playing an excellent tennis and it look sets to win the ATP World Tour Finals in London.
Federer commented: ‘I’m happy I was able to come out today and play a good, tough, solid match against a player who I thought was in good shape. I purposely didn’t want to know the calculations before today’s match, whereas I was in the loop very clearly what I kind of needed to do last year, which I think played on my mind a little bit.’
‘I just wanted to come out and try to play as good a match as I can. Losing is never a solution to trying to win a tournament. That’s why I’m happy that all three matches were straight sets, and I did not waste any energy. I’m playing real well and I’m through to the semis.’
On the other side Murray had a very comfortable win against David Ferrer by 6-2- 6-2 and secured the second spot in the semis.
