Nadal breezes past Wawrinka in Paris

It might be personal…but apparently Nadal really enjoys playing against Swiss players.

Rafa conceded only 4 games to Roger a couple of weeks ago in Rome and now he concedes only 6 games to Stan in Paris.

Rafa played probably the best match of his tournament to set up a very interesting semifinal against Djokovic.

From Rafa

“I’m happy the way that I played today especially. It was my best match of the tournament without any doubt. I said I need to make a change. I was confident that I can do it and I did.” said an elated Rafa

“I made the improvement against Nishikori and today I made another important improvement.

In my opinion, I always played at a very good level. I’m happy the way I played that match today. To win against a player like Wawrinka is impossible with this score if you don’t play at a very good level.” he added.

Next vs. Djokovic

Rafa will play Nole in what many consider to be the real final of the tournament as the winner will be the overwhelming favorite for the title.

Head to head is 19-15 for Rafa. 12-3 for Rafa on clay, but 3-3 on clay during the last 2 years and Nole won the last one in Monte-Carlo.

Everything can happen.
