Del Potro really struggles with Federer especially after his victory in the US Open final agaist the Swiss.
This year they already played 3 times and the Argentinian has never managed to win a set with Roger. Today he was very close to it especially in the second tie break where he was leading 5-0 and then 6-2 (to lose 6 straight points ).
‘I hung in there and I thought I played a good match,’ said Federer. ‘He almost pulled the first set ‘breaker back from 2-6, and there was little between us tonight. I just fought well and got a little lucky.
‘It’s good to see Juan back and it’s good to be in another final. It’s also nice to play again against Andy as I don’t think we played at all last year.’
‘I played well but I knew I would have to against Juan Martin,’ said Federer. ‘There was not much between us in this match. ‘It was very close, I got some of the luck and came through.’
Roger won 4 of the last 6 ATP tournaments. Will this be the 5th one?
