Federer downs Harrison to play Roddick in third Round – 2012 ATP Sony Ericsson Miami – Youtube Video

Super Roger had to cope with almost everything in his incredible career, but this was compleely new. He was comfortably beating the young American 6-2 5-3 (and serving for the match) while he had to cope with a break point. During that rally a fan called a ball out. The Swiss had the impression that the call came from a linesjudge to then uncover the truth. The ball was in and Roger lost his serve.

Fortunately for the world nr.3 his superior tennis allowed him to comfortably win the tiebreak at 3.

‘It completely threw me off,’ Federer said afterwards. ‘It’s the first time it has ever happened in my career.’

Harrison, a very correct player, felt not so good about this mess ‘Obviously I want to win every point the right way,’

The Swiss will play Roddick in the third round. The American recently beat him in an extremely funny exhibition at the Madison Square Garden . The head-to-head record is tremendously in favor of Roger 21-2, but in Miami it is a 1-1.
