Trashy stuff in Charlestone.
Serena once again beats Stosur, but this time it was bad.. really bad. The American played an incredible match that it could have been stopped for no contest.
‘You know, I think it was just one of those days that I could have done anything against anybody,’ Serena said.’I have to say this is probably the best match I’ve played in my career, either in a long time or it’s up there in the top five,’ she added.
‘She was way too good today,’ Stosur said. ‘I think she was pretty happy with the way she played.’
A good note and smile came from Safarova that had also an incredible match (let’s say the perfect one!) with Polona Hercog by 6-0 6-0.
It was a shame for the Slovenian that had a remarkable tournament especially after she defeated seed nr.1 Marion Bartoli, but it was not her day.
So after this big win, Safarova jokingly said to Serena ”Yeah, I got you,”.. meaning that at the end of the day she did not concede a game to her opponent.
Unfortunately tomorrow it is difficult she won’t let Serena win a game…
