Interesting stuff at the 2012 US Men’s Clay Court Championship.
The tournament is still waiting for the big guys to play (Fish, Isner and Monaco), but there are some interesting results.
The Americans are trying their best to lift their flag. So Harrison had a good victory over seed nr.7 Bogolomov to play Kunitsyn in the second round. Reynolds upsets Karlovic (19 aces) 7-6 (5) 2- 6-3 to play an all American second round against last year champion Ryan Sweeting.
Feliciano Lopez struggled a bit more than expected with Paolo Lorenzo. The Spaniard had to rely on a formidable serve to blast 13 aces (4 in the second set tiebreak).
Finally Anderson (5th seed) defeated Souza 6-3 6-4
