Just won the 8th title in Monte-Carlo? OK… nice.. no time to rest, there is the 7th title to win in Barcelona!
Rafa is once again relentless in his quest of conquering whatever he can during the clay season.
The draw came out and, no surprise, it is packed of Spaniards (17 in the main draw!). The top seeds are Nadal, Murray, Ferrer and Tipsarevic.
Rafa has a clear path. He may play Tipsarevic in the quarters (not a big deal for Rafa on clay) and Verdasco/Nishikori/Anderson in the semis. Verdasco can be the only player to cause problems to Rafa, but… it is difficult to think that the King of Clay (if fit) would not reach the final.
On the other side of the draw. Murray is the man to beat. He may have some problems in the quarters where he should play either Raonic or Almagro (the Spaniard should make it though). Then in the semis he may get either Ferrer (a terrible guy on clay) or Feliciano Lopez. Ferrer is the most probable since he definately wants to fight back after his terrible tournament in Monte-Carlo when he was surprisingly trashed by Bellucci in straight horrible sets 6-3 6-2.
Time to play again!
