It took only 76 minutes for the Argentine to defeat his German opponent. Delpo blasted 8 aces to concede only 2 break points (…and 1 break) to Mayer.

Tomas didn’t have many problems to defeat the South African in straight sets. Anderson is generally playing a good tennis, but he still struggles a bit on the dirt. Berdych was quite effective with his service to get 11 aces and to succesfully avoid any break.
He will play either Monfils or Andreev in the 3rd round.
MONFILS – KOHLSCHREIBER 7-5 6-7 (2) 6-3
Gael won a 2 hours battle with Kohlschreiber. The German is in fine form and he demontrated it by winning the BMW Open last week.
Monfils produced his usual spectacular tennis to win the “Hot Shot of the day” with an incredible tweener (video below).
