Raonic downs Troicki to clash with Murray – 2012 Rogers Cup – Toronto

In Canada the tennis community is desperate for Milos to achieve a good placement at the 2012 Rogers Cup… if he wins it… it is even better. Going step by step Raonic won the first match without many problems in just 69 minutes against Troicki. The Canadian blasted “only” 7 aces, he converted 2 break points out of 2 without conceding any. So.. easy stuff…so far.

Raonic said that he didn’t feel any pressure for the fact that he was playing home “Obviously it’s a little bit different when you got on the court, but before the match I really didn’t change anything the way I would normally,” he said.

The Canadian is in a collision path with Murray in the next round as the Scott has to play a (possibly) easy match with Cipolla.  “I played him earlier this year,” Raonic said. “I know if I play well, I’ll have my opportunities.” In fact, Milos played Murray only once in Barcellona and he won in straight sets 6-4 7-6(3).

You know what? Giving the fact that Andy should be super tired (and satisfied by his recent gold medal), that Milos looks fresh and plays home… we can have an upset!
