OLYMPICS. Naomi Osaka happy to have another quarantine in Tokyo for the safety of people

Naomi Osaka is looking forward to playing the Olympic Games in Tokyo

Naomi Osaka Eager To Play In Tokyo

Naomi Osaka has just ended a 14-days’ quarantine in Adelaide and she is more than willing to endure another one later in the year in Tokyo in order to play the Olympics.

The Japanese sensation will be one of the most prominent faces at the upcoming Games if they are going to be staged in July. For this reason, Naomi definitely doesn’t want to miss the Olympics especially after they were postponed from 2020. This is what the world no.3 said during a recent interview stating that the safety of people in Japan should be prioritized.

“The way that I feel is I will stay in my room for two weeks to play the Olympics. I missed out on the last one. Playing in Tokyo would be very special to me. My concern would be the general safety of everyone else because you’re opening the country.

Everyone is flying in from different places. I would just want the public to feel safe. I feel like the athletes definitely would want to play, but I would want the public to feel safe.”

Naomi Osaka’s schedules

Naomi is always quite careful in her scheduling and the Olympics Games in Tokyo would definitely be a big priority in her calendar. Naomi didn’t play much last year as she took part only in 4 competitions before getting a 4 months’ break (injury) after she was idle 6 months because of the Coronavirus.

After the Australian swing, where Naomi is expected to play only 2 tournaments, the world no.3 will not play the WTA1000 in Dubai like practically yall the other top players, to be back only in Miami (22nd of March).
