Tommy Haas wins an epic 5 setter against Isner

Isner is the man of records. After winning the longest match in tennis history with an incredible 6–4, 3–6, 6–7(9), 7–6(3), 70–68, this time he manages to save 12 match points before losing the match.

Haas got the win in the 5th set when he was 1-4 down to grab the match after 4 hours and and 37 minutes.

“I thought it’s not looking good” said Haas talking about when he was 1-4 down .

“I was still looking at the opportunities I had, and maybe a few of those that I didn’t take where maybe I had a chance on the other ones. You have to tip your hat at some point, the way he was saving those match points, serving the way he did. There was really nothing I could have done or I don’t think many people could do in that certain time.”

I couldn’t really go after the ball on my serve like I wanted to. At the end, I think, had that have been different, maybe the outcome would have been different.
