Ryan Harrison hires Tres Davis as a new coach

Ryan is the most interesting upcoming American player and he wants to do something important in 2013. For this reason he has hired Tres Davis to help his father in his training.

Davis will step in the typical tricky father-son tennis relationship and he needs to be very smart in how he will get into it.

According to an interview realeased to tennis.com Ryan said. “The whole father son coaching relationship is tender situation and you have to be smart about, and fortunately my dad and I’s relationship has gotten better and better over the last two years,” Ryan Harrison said .

“I’m getting older and we’ve had as good as relationship as we’ve ever had and that’s why I am so excited this year. Everything is in a good place. My dad and I have talked every single day since I’ve been [in Australia].

He’s not one of those father figures who doesn’t know tennis, he played at a very high level and knows me more than anyone. Part of it is maturity on my part.

You get to the point where everything your dad is telling you seems like criticism and them you get older and you realize that he’s saying things for your best interest. You can have disagreements that can be productive conservations, rather than arguments.”

Let’s see how Tres Davis will manage to get into this relation.
