Bad stuff for Pico. After a very good 2012 he is really eager to play this Australian open where he is seed no.11… but maybe this is not going to happen.
Monaco had to pull out just before the Kooyong Classic exhibition citing a problem to his hand.
“I had a phone call from Juan Monaco’s management this morning which indicated to me that he had a hand injury,” said the Kooyong Classic director Colin Stubs.
They’re not certain how serious it is but he has been advised by his doctor not to play in the next few days with the hope that he can take his place in the Australian Open.”
The Australian Open will commence the 14th of January, so there is still time to recover.. let’s hope to see him playing.
