It’s a tough time for everyone during this pandemic and Swiss star Stan Wawrinka confessed that he had a rather unpleasant experience last month.
During a recent interview with the Herald Sun, Stan revealed that he was positive for Coronavirus last December during Christmas time. Wawrinka added that his preparation suffered a lot and he has been recovering right now and ready to play the Australian swing.
“I’m trying to get in shape. I actually got positive during Christmas, so I had to stay more than 10 days at home, so I completely lost all the work I’ve been doing all the off season,” Wawrinka admitted.
The Stan talked about his struggle to add:
“I was really feeling bad during five days but the symptoms, you keep it, and are really more tired every day and that lasts a few weeks and there is still some symptoms that you get and wonder why. It was not a good experience; I had a tough time at home. Now I finally start to see that I am feeling better but it can touch you badly and it’s important to be really careful.”
Stan will play a warm-up event next week before playing the first major of the year.
