Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams had the opportunity to play in front of a packed stadium in an exhibition in Adelaide. Everyone was elated to finally see a big crowd enjoying a tennis match as that wasn’t happening for 1 year, at least in official contests.
Eventually, it was Serena to win the match 6-2 2-6 10-7. However, Naomi was still extremely happy to be on court. During one of her hilarious speech, Naomi admitted that it seemed to her that she didn’t see people forever.
Serena also looked almost in disbelief about playing in front of a crowd to comment: “I haven’t played in front of a crowd in over a year. It’s been a really long time.”
Serena and Naomi will head to Melbourne where they are going to play the upcoming WTA500 before the Australian Open.
