The Indian Federation presents its case against rebellious players

Here we are at another episode of this big mess.

AITA, the Indian tennis governing body, has been struggling for some times with most of its top players. All the situation started to deteriorate when Bhupathi and Bopanna refused to team up with Paes at the London Olympics.

Then AITA had the (bad) idea to ban both of them from playing in competitions representing India. This led to another mess that eventually reached its apex when all top players (but Paes) refused to play the Davis Cup tie against Korea.

Now on the wake of a disastrous loss to Korea, AITA presented a communicate against the rebellious.

The report was presented to an indipendent body that should “rule something” by the 5-7 of April.

From AITA

The CEO Chatterjee  said

“This policy of blackmailing has been going on for long. The availability came with pre-conditions and we do not appreciate that. We want to stop it. It is a neutral committee and I am hopeful that the suggestions it would make would be acceptable to both the parties,”

“It’s a step forward, pre-conditions are not welcome. Hopefully, they will not challenge this committee.”

Can they ever fix this?… time to change…
