Federer wins an easy opener in Rotterdam

Super Roger starts his tournament in style.

It took only 57 minutes for Roger to defeat the world no.64. It was a very “clean” match for the Swiss that blasted 3 aces and he didn’t concede any break to finally break his opponent 4 times.

The beginning wasn’t as easy as Zemlja hold his first serve games dropping only 1 point while Roger had to defend two break points in the forth game… then game over.

“Hall play is different. It’s warmer, so the ball flies more and it takes a bit of getting used to,” Roger said. “The first ones are never easy. But I’m happy to be back and playing well.”

Federer will play De Bakker in he second round. Head to head is 1-0 for Federer.
