This was an easy match for David Ferrer even if he had to play a dengerous Montanes.

Albert was coming from a wonderful week in Nice where he won the Open de Nice Côte d’Azur defeating Gael Monfils in the final. Playing against David was a completely different story.

The match ended after 1 hour and 41 minutes with Ferrer always in control.

Next vs. Feliciano Lopez

David will play another compatriot in the 3rd round to comment “It’s going to be a tough match. Feli is a player who serves really powerfully. It’s not easy, not comfortable. I’ll have to be careful.”

Head to head is 7-5 for Ferrer, but David has a 4-0 lead over Feliciano on clay.
