Haas and Raonic will play the San Jose final

We had a big surprise in San Jose as Tommy Haas demolished John Isner 6-3 6-4 in just a hour to face Milos Raonic in the final.

Haas

The German played a very good match to not concede a single break and win Isner’s service game twice.

“I saw his serve extremely well today, and that obviously helps when you’re playing someone like him,” said an elated Tommy Haas. “This is the type of surface where if you can hold serve and put some pressure on the opponent, it really works out well.”

“I just couldn’t find my first serve when I really needed it,” said the American. “He played well, there’s definitely no shame in losing to him,”

Raonic

Milos reached his third consecutive final in San Jose to defeat Querrey also in 1 hour. Milos blasted 12 aces in 9 service game to lose only 5 points out of 41 on his serve (astonishing!). Querrey didn’t have the same feat to face 9 break points to be broken 3 times.

“I’ve been sort of going up and down through matches regarding my return, but today the key was I started off with a lot of intensity and carried through,” said Milos

“I’m returning well, moving well, getting into position to hit the shots and when I have the opportunities, I’m going for it and I’m pretty successful,” .

The Final

These two have never played against each other. Milos looks the favourite to win his 3rd consecutive San Jose, but Haas is playing really well. We go for the Canadian!
