Federer demolishes Devvarman to clash against a dangerous Benneteau in the 3rd round

A stroll in the park for the Swiss Maestro that has conceded only 4 games to the Indian qualifier.

Roger broke Devvarman from the very beginning to then broke him other 6 times in what became a sort of practice session.

Next vs. Benneteau

Roger will play the 3rd round against Julien Benneteau. Federer struggles a lot with the world no.32. Last year he had to recover a deficit of 2 sets down in Wimbledon to win a tense 5 setter. Few months ago Roger lost to him in Rotterdam in straight sets (6-3 7-5).

“He doesn’t need to change his game. It worked back then, so it’s up to me now to change something and to see what didn’t work during that match and to see how I can change it,” commented the Maestro

I’m going to work with my coaches and try to see what I have to change in my game. It’s true when I play against him he makes it difficult for me. I have some problems and I have to find a solution. Anyway, I like that kind of challenge. I’m looking forward to it.”

Head to head

Roger leads 4-2, 1-0 on clay (2008 French Open when Roger won 6-4 7-5 7-5 in the fourth round).
