That was a great tournament for the Czech! Petra reached the final without dropping a single set to be the hot favorite for the title.
The world no.8 started in great fashion the final to grab an early 6-2 lead with her trademark tennis. Then it was time for the “die-hard” Italian to fight back to trash the Czech in the second set and win 6-1. Kvitova regrouped to down Errani 6-1 in the decider… what a roller coaster!

“It was up and down, but I can say I was focussed and calm, which was important after the second set,” said Kvitova. “It was important to stay in the game and to do my best and to be aggressive.”
This is Petra’s 10th career title…. Well done!
