Alexander Zverev has just pushed the reset button after a couple of very complicated years full of issues. The German sensation decided to go back to his roots to basically being coached and managed by his own family.

One of the nastiest episodes in Sascha’s recent life was the horrible accusation from his former girlfriend Olya Sharypova of domestic violence. The Russian beauty was extremely vocal on social and traditional media about being badly abused by the German champion during their troubled relationship.

No lawsuit because…

Sascha was severely slammed by the social and traditional media even if there was no proof that he committed the abuse. This story badly damaged his image with obvious psychological and financial implications. Therefore, during a recent interview with Bild, he was asked why he didn’t sue his former girlfriend. Sascha said that he didn’t want to start a lawsuit in order not to make this story drags on to comment:

“The more I talk, the bigger and longer the story would drag on. We therefore decided against it.”

The Zverev talked about the surprise he had when he learned about the accusations. Sascha explained that it was an opportunistic move. Also, he didn’t talk to her for long before the accusations.

“If you look at the timing, you’ll notice that she made her accusations shortly after it became public that Brenda was expecting my child. Before that, Olga and I had no contact for a year. Not even when she tried to get back together with me through my parents. But I did not want that. I think this timing says it all,” said Sascha.
