Alexander Zverev is trying to get back to a proper mental space after a couple of very complicated years.

The German ace has been through everything. He hired and split with 3 “celebrity coaches” that enjoy great status (Juan Carlos Ferrero, Ivan Lendl, and David Ferrer). He ended 2 “important” relationship with 2 now-former girlfriends in a rather dramatic fashion: Olya Sharypova accused him of domestic violence while Brenda Patea remained pregnant with his baby.

Sascha went through a tricky lawsuit with his former management company before parting ways with Team8, the new management company owned by Roger Federer. The 23-year-old was also widely slammed for not keeping his promise of auto-isolating after he participated in the Adria Tour.

Sascha has pushed the reset button to go back to basics. His family will take care of him closely on the coaching and management side. In addition, the German sensation is getting in the best possible mental space to welcome his new child.

During a recent interview with the German outlet the Bild, Sasha talked about his excitement of becoming a father. When asked if he would look forward more to winning his first slam or welcoming his child, he answered:

“Definitely the first child. That’s a very special feeling for anyone in the world. Brenda and I will manage quite well, no matter how things turn out with us. That will be the highlight of my life.”

Sascha then declined to say if he will have a boy or a girl. The German also didn’t exclude the fact that he and Brenda could be an item again to say: “No one can predict the future.”

Zverev At The Australian OpenSascha is currently in Australia, where he is getting ready for the Australian Open.

Last year the world no.7 commenced his season pretty badly after playing a horrible ATP Cup when he lost 3 consecutive matches.

However, things turned unexpectedly well when he had a surprising run at the Australian Open where he reached the semifinal before losing in the semifinal to his dear friend Dominic Thiem.

Zverev has constantly been improving his results at the Australian Open and this year he will be among the top favorites to win the first slam of the year.
