Fantastic Nadal demolishes Ferrer to win the title in Acapulco

The King is back and he looks as strong as ever. Giving such a tennis lesson to Ferrer on clay courts is something truly remarkable.

Ferrer was clearly struggling against Rafa also and especially from a mental point of view. There was just one man playing. David Ferrer managed to enter in the scoreboard only after 9 games when he won his first game to still face a huge 0-6 1-2 deficit.

Nadal was all over the court to attack when he could and to defend really well. Very frustrating for the world no.4. Rafa Conceded only 2 break points (all saved) to break Ferrer 5 times!

The match ended after 65 minutes with Rafa winning his 52nd career titile.

From Rafa

“This was a great week for me and today I played exceptionally well, I dominated the game against the world No. 4 and couldn’t be happier, especially when I think where I am coming from,” said Nadal. “Perhaps the conditions were in my favour but I feel it was maybe one of the best matches of my career.”

If the Spaniard wanted to send a message to the rest of the pack… well he did it!
