Wonderful day for Rafa that wins a tricky match in straight sets in 94 minutes.
The match wasn’t as easy. In fact, on the other side of the net there was Ryan Harrison that knew he had a shot against a “possibly not 100% fit” Nadal.
So the first set went to the tiebreak after an exchange of breaks. Rafa took advantage of his immense experience to winning it at 3.
The second set was much easier for Rafa as the American imploded. A couple of breaks for the Kind of Clay and voila’… 6-2.

Rafa will play the 3rd round against Leonardo Mayer from Argentina that defeated Youzhny. Head to head is 2-0 for Rafa that defeated Mayer in last year’s Indian Wells 6-1 6-3 (2nd round)
