Another difficult start for Murray in Indian Wells. The Scott always struggles on these courts and today it wasn’t any different.
This match against Doskoy was supposed to be a walk in the park for Andy that eventually lost the first set 7-5. The Scott wasn’t so stressed out about that as he was feeling his tennis was coming back by the end of the opening set. In fact, the world no.3 won the next two sets with a comfortale double 6-2 6-2.
From Murray
Andy commented “Once I got into more of a rhythm, I was able to dictate more of the points, but he played some good stuff. He doesn’t force anything. I think he’s pretty smart on the court, too.”
Next vs. Lu
Andy will play the third round against Yen-Hsun Lu from Taipei that upset Klizan 7-6 (5) 7-6 (5).
Head to head is 1-0 for Lu (!) that defeated Murray in Beijing 2008 7-6 (5) 6-4 (1st round).
