There is bad news from Paula Badosa Gibert that unfortunately tested positive for the Coronavirus to be out from the Australian Open. The Spanish beauty released the following statement on social media:
โI have some bad news. Today, I received a positive Covid-19 test result.
Iโm feeling unwell and have some symptoms, but Iโll try to recover as soon as possible listening to the doctors. I have been taken to a health hotel to self-isolate and be monitored. Thanks for your support. Weโll be back strongerโ.
It’s not clear where Paula was infected. She was already observing strict quarantine as she was on “that” flight from Abu Dhabi with other positive cases. She spent a lot of time with Marta Kostyuk. Let’s hope that Paula will have a full and prompt recovery and Marta was not infected.
