Federer Back In Doha And Rotterdam

There are ongoing question marks about when Roger Federer will be back to competitions. The Swiss legend played a tournament for the last time 1 year ago at the Australian Open before being operated twice to his knee. The former world no.1 decided not to play the major in Melbourne this year, saying that he wasn’t ready. However, reports are stating that he didn’t want to be away from his family too long given the strict Coronavirus protocols enforced in Australia.

Roger’s agent Tony Godsick said that the aim is having Federer back to competitions soon after the Australian Open.

According to the tournament director of the ATP500 in Rotterdam, Richard Krajicek, Roger will be back to competitions in Doha (8th March) and there is a chance he will be part also of the draw in Rotterdam (1st March).

“As far as I know, Roger will play in Doha, the week after Rotterdam. But if he is fit and ready to play, we will hear from him,” he said.
